Really? Well, as a matter of fact I HAVE spent more than a small quantity of time in various locations throughout the province, including Mont Apica in the north, Chicoutimi, Quebec City, Trois Rivieres, Montreal of course, Repentigny... The people we are referring to in case you have forgotten are the people who deal with the public on a daily basis - i.e. your example of a little drinking binge. My statement refers to the fact that people you encounter in restaurants, serving in bars, taxi drivers, Bell telephone operators (who incidentally more times than not refuse to answer in English!), salesclerks in stores who are supposedly there to wait on you - all of these people speak English... most will not.

Welll... frankly I can't really see that happening! For one thing I would expect the manager in charge to fire anyone with such an attitude. Perhaps these people were slightly inebriated after their 'wedding' and it was for that reason they were less than welcome?

I have seen it happen. I have tried to get a phone number and had some ignorant bitch refuse to answer in English... etc. So am I then to assume that you are a 'wronged' French Canadian Molson? Or that your parents are?
If that is the case I have just one very simple question for you to answer. If la belle province is so glorious, what the **** are you doing HERE?
